World Heritage Night
Friday, May 14, 2010
Wolftrap Elementary School

Once again, we're taking you on a free trip around the world--no passports required--so join us for World Heritage Night! World Heritage Night is an international festival celebrating the unique cultures of the world as represented in our local community. The evening consists of a variety of highlights: the most visible is often the international and U.S. regional foods (like batch of tamales, Greek desserts, Indian cuisine, foods from New England or the South, etc), but the evening is also marked by cultural performances (such as songs, dance, and instrumental--Chinese yo-yo; Irish step-dancing, martial arts demo, drums, etc); exhibits and artifacts; and demonstrations (for example origami and saree dress-up).

Needed: Committee level volunteers for planning purposes. At this time we are need of:

  • Performance Coordinator
  • Exhibits and Demonstrations Coordinator
  • All around general support--if you just want to help out but not sure how, we'll find a place for you!
