Critical Need! As of 2/20, not enough girls have registered for GOTR for Wolftrap to host a team! We are a few short! We want
to give every opportunity for girls to participate in this season, so
we are re-opening the registration from February 23 through March 1,
2013. If you know of anyone at Wolftrap who would be interested in
participating in this program, please encourage them to register by
forwarding the registration link, HERE!
What is it?
Girls on the Run is a transformational learning
program for 8 to 13 year-old girls. We teach life skills through
dynamic, conversation-based lessons and running games. The program
culminates with the girls being physically and emotionally prepared to
complete a celebratory 5k running event. The goal of the program is to
unleash confidence through accomplishment while establishing a lifetime
appreciation of health and fitness.
When and where do we meet?
The group will be led by Wolftrap's own Ms. Dowell and will meet on Wednesday and Friday mornings
before school for runs, workouts in the gym, and/or speeches about
health and fitness. The group will start March 13th and runs until May 17th, culminating in a
5K race.
The group will meet in the gym and begin from there.

How can I help?
In order for this club to run, we need parent volunteers to help every week. If you are interested, please contact Devon Dowell (dmdowell@fcps.edu) or Anisha Patel (anishapatel_2001@yahoo.com). You can help out as little or as often as you like.
