- NEW Kids: Make Your New Year's Resolutions!
On Thursday, January 12, Wolftrap students made announcements to all students about getting healthy in 2012. They talked about the 9-5-2-1-0 zip code to your health:
- 9: Get at least 9 hours of sleep per day
- 5: Get at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables per day
- 2: Limit screen time to 2 hours of less per day outside of school
- 1: Get at least 1 hour of physical activity per day
- 0: Drink 0 sugar-added beverages per day
Parents from the Nutrition & Health Committee went to school that day and spoke with the children at lunch about which one (or all!) of these goals they may want as a New Year's Resolution. A New Year's Resolution sheet will be coming home in the Tuesday envelope on January 17. Please help your child in filling out the form and placing it somewhere prominent to remind them about these healthy habits. Click here to see the form. Questions? Please contact the Nutrition & Health Committee
